HOW COACHING CAN HELP YOU

From time to time in life we face many problems, fears, and setbacks. We get side-tracked, find it difficult to deal with everyday issues and get caught up in all the problems that life often throws our way. If this sounds familiar and you are getting caught up in a tangled web of problems, where your decisions and choices are being affected, then coaching could help you rebuild confidence and make positive changes, which are sustainable.


Life coaching is a self-help service designed to help you get out of a state of desperation while putting you into a state of inspiration. Whether you are looking for short term or long term coaching, with my less talking - more doing approach we can begin to develop empowering habits and rituals, which strengthen your core values and unlock your true potential. 

In a nutshell, life coaching is designed to help provide you with the support and guidance you need to excel in any area of your life. Where you can develop new skills and capitalise on your strengths to overcome weaknesses outside your comfort zone

MY APPROACH

My coaching style is forwards focused and solution orientated. I like to make my sessions as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, where we can talk openly and honestly about your feelings and thoughts where you can think optimistically yet realistically about life's circumstances. 

I strongly believe that the relationship between coach and client is key to allow any change to take place. I practice an integrated approach to coaching where I can provide the client with effective techniques, strategies and tools that will help them become more resourceful when dealing with difficulties.

All I require is for you to be committed and willing to explore possible solutions that might help you overcome the hurdles you face. Working together we can design a plan specifically for you where you will soon begin to believe that anything is possible.

SIX STEPS TO SUCCESS

STEP ONE
CLARIFY WHAT YOU WANT

This is really important. A huge myth within coaching is that you have to have an idea in your head and what you are looking to ultimately want to achieve. This is a mistake. Why? Because it will limit you from the outset. Instead of thinking of inspiring and creative goals that truly motivate you, you are likely to stop short with negative, limited goals.


During the first few sessions we will start by adjusting your values using an evaluation assessment tool. This is why we then need to create and focus on performance goals. These are steps/milestones that lead to the end goal, but are smaller bite-sized chinks and more achievable.

STEP TWO
WHERE YOU ARE NOW

Coaching is about helping you get from where you are now to where you want to be. Now that you know where you want to be I can help you objectively assess where you are right now.


During step two we will not only look at external circumstances, but also at your own inner processes and habits that might serve to endanger your progress. You will need to take this into account when tackling your goals so it's important that you are open, honest, objective and fact-based in your assessment of reality.

STEP THREE
REVIEWING YOUR OPTIONS

Next we will start to review all the resources, options and courses of action at your disposal that could help you to accomplish your goals. This is where we start brainstorming and generate ideas and remove potential blocks.


After you figure out your resources and list possible courses of action but this will not come until you let your creative juices flow and really let yourself think of any possibility.

STEP FOUR
CREATING YOUR ACTION PLAN

This is the step where we start to design your unique plan that will take you from where you are right now to where you want to be in the future. We will also decide on the steps you need to pursue.


To monitor this I will also measure and calibrate your motivation and commitment to this important step of your coaching process.

STEP FIVE
KEEPING YOU ON TRACK

As well as keeping you motivated I will make sure that you stay on track. It's easier to commit to an action plan than to follow through. This is achieved by using my coaching tools, which will keep you focused.


I will track and report on your progress towards your goals/action items that in previous sessions you have committed to.  

STEP SIX
MAINTENANCE

Now that you have gained the confidence and on your way to achieving your goals and aspirations it is important for you to know that you have a fail-safe. Me! 


If you do happen to lose your way or have a wobble, it’s important that you know that you can always come back to me for maintenance sessions at any time. The door is always open.
